Seconde f is the best option however m is not wrong. Both genders are used. The Dutch do not really know the genders of most of the nouns. In Dutch dictionaries you often see v(m). GerardM 11:17, 7 נאָװעמבער 2005 (UTC)

I agree with Gerard. In the south (Flanders e.g. that is a bit different There the m-f distinction is still alive in the local dialects. Another point is that seconde only refers to the time unit 0f 1/60th of a minute. If somebody comes in a second, we use tweede. af:Gebruiker:Jcwf

I also agree. Both are correct, but there is a tendency to masculine. There are a lot of words who had first the two genders, and then only masculine, or first feminine and than the two in Dutch. nl:Gebruiker:S.V.E.T.
